Siine Writer runner up at AppCircus

Siine Writer Pioneer Edition was runner up at the AppCircus at TechHub in London yesterday.

Dozens of apps were submitted to the competition, with Siine Writer making the final ten, then losing out narrowly to Echo Echo, with Runtastic getting an honourable mention.

Judges at the event included The Next Web UK and media editor Paul Sawers, Vodafone principal manager developer marketing Sanj Matharu, Mobext UK MD Chris Bourke, Telefonica head of BlueVia marketing James Parton and NAVTEQ developer marketing manager Lauren Sarno.

Parton, writing on his blog, said he was struck by Siine Writer’s use of icons buttons to enter long strings of text.

“This I've not seen before, and can be fully customised by the user by adding their own buttons, and even uploading their own images to label those buttons,” he explained.

“I think there is a huge accessibility opportunity for technology like this, and also really interested mobile health application.

Siine Writer also generated strong feedback from attendees, with Odebiyi Olaseni, a mobile apps develop for West Africa, Tweeting,“Siine writer....wonderful app...a keyboard like app that shorten my writing loads of words..”

Evgeny Shadchnev, TweetSoftware developer at Forward, added, “Siine Writer is an innovative, personalised keyboard for android."

Our congratulations to Echo Echo.
